Malaysian was damn excited with today’s return leg match against Singapore in Bukit Jalil. All 90,000 tickets was sold out in 2 days. I was one of them wanted to watch unfortunately my daughter not interested to go. We just watched it on Astro.
It’s an uphill battle to overcome the 2 goals advantage Singapore had. We must beat them by atleast 2 goals margin. As I said in my previous post, bole menang ke? And as I said anything can happen in football….
Everybody’s talking about the game. I was in Subang Permai in the evening with my beloved wife having a drink in one of the restaurant there. We saw a group of people wearing their new malaysia jersey getting ready to go to the stadium. My friends coming all the way from Muar with a huge banner.
Tapi bermain di tempat sendiri backed with 90,000 home crowds, everybody is hoping something miracle will happen. From what I saw on tv, the atmosphere was……fantastic. As the comentator said “Saya tidak pernah mendengar lagu Negaraku dinyanyikan sebegitu kuat oleh sebegitu ramai sebelum ini”
PM Najib is in Kedah and will be watching it live on giant screen with football fans there. YB Khairy Jamaluddin took LRT to the stadium to join the crowd. He was seated on the stairs with RM30 ticket.
It was a boring game to me. No goal in the 1st half. Towards the end of the 1st half aku bole tertidur….haha. Aku terjaga bila terdengar sorakan gol…. Gol pertama Malaysia dijaringkan oleh top striker Safee Sali. Tapi nothing incredible happen after that.
As usual Malaysia dengan weak defence, midfield yang tak berapa function and finishing…..susah nak cakap.
Singapore playing smart. Main dengan melambat2kan permainan slow kan tempo Malaysia. Everybody cursing Singapore player for that. Even coach Rajagobal make it one of the reason his team lose. To me, nothing is wrong with that. Perang saraf. I’ve experience that. In my mind and everybody’s mind I don’t have problem beating him. Aku pun nak cepat habiskan game yang main tengah panas di SMS Muar tu. Tapi my oponent, being a smart guy studying in a borading school, dia melambat2kan game. Ikat kasut la, jalan perlahan la yang buat aku hilang sabar dan hilang tumpuan. Akhirnya aku kalah…..huhu.
Bukan senang. Infact Singapore isn’t really looking for more goals. Kalau tak easily the game ended 2-1.
Akhirnya Malaysia has to setlle with 1-1 draw. Though I was hoping they can achieve the target of getting 2 goals based on the support of 90,000 at the stadium and millions more watching at home.
Cuma yang frustnya inilah masa or game yang sepatutnya Harimau Malaya rise to the occassion. What is bigger in football than World Cup?
To me we have to put the blame on the players and coach. What else do you need? Crowd is behind you 100%! Even PM Najib made few calls to the coach to encourage them. Tapi nasi dah jadi bubur. Kita kalah….. Boleh ke bolasepak Malaysia naik balik seperti in the 70s? After winning the AFF Cup for the 1st time, Malaysian fans are back supporting the team.
